HÆRWERK #1 – HONEST JOHN (Let’s be Honest)” consists of the first nuclear-capable surface-to-surface missile in NATO’s arsenal, rescued from oblivion in the storehouses of the Cold War and dressed in a 7 meters long transparent condom custom-made in China. The condom was unrolled during the opening ceremony and the HONEST JOHN  thereafter served as a landmark for the Norwegian Armed Forces Museum and the HÆRWERK residency. It was taken down before scedule not to offend the Russian President Dmitrij Medvedev when he was visiting the premises during 2010.

Honest John has since then been on display both in Bodø, Norway in 2010 and in Dresden, Germany 2018.
