Traavik’s newest project expands his spontaneous partnership with the accordionists into a full-length album of a-ha pop songs covered by North Korean musicians. The special edition vinyl record —  “Take On Us! Pyongyang Gold Stars Play Great Popular Hits Vol. 1,” released by Ship to Shore Phono Co. — features tracks originally recorded in 2013 and made available on Traavik’s website, and it purports to be the first wide Western commercial release of music from the DPRK. - NK News
