POPULISM

A Decade of Traavik Info 2011-2021

Since its founding in 2011, Traavik.info's groundbreaking hypertheatre productions have enlightened, enraged, challenged and inspired in the disputed territories between arts, politics and activism from the Barents Sea to the Middle East, from New York to North Korea.

POPULISM: A Decade of Traavik.info 2011-2021 collects 14 songs from its collaborations in 4 corners of the globe, including previously unreleased live recordings from the historic 2015 North Korea concerts of Laibach, as well as new material and remixes by the likes of The Megaphonic Thrift, Moddi and Årabrot,  and not least: the global smash hit cover versions of the songs of a-ha by North Korean speed-accordionists Pyongyang Gold Stars. All of it lovingly packaged in an appropriately totalitarian design by the French master Valnoir/Metastazis and released on legendary Norwegian datarockers Datarock's own label, YAP Records.
