Donika Çina

Donika Çina is an artist and cultural activator working both regionally and internationally with her home base in Tirana, Albania. With her background as a visual artist at the University of Arts in Tirana and later in higher arts institutions of Romania and Germany, her native Albania’s complexities remain among her main sources of inspiration. The overlapping and contradictions of different layers of history with individual perspectives is a recurring theme in her individual works, as is activating discourses and cultural events in collaborations with others. Since their first successful collaborations with the Guardianët e Parajses (Guardians of Paradise) interventions in Gjirokastra, Albania and Prishtina, Kosovo (2019) Donika has been onboard as Traavik.info’s Field Coordinator for the Balkan region.
